Shipping policy
All InHouse Bookstore orders ship from our Underwood, Queensland warehouse for a flat $9 Australia-wide — the same rate whether you're buying one paperback or a stack for the whole reading group. No surprises at checkout, no per-book stacking.
Dispatch
Orders are picked, packed and dispatched within 1–2 business days. Weekends and public holidays don't count toward dispatch time.
Delivery times
Standard flat-rate orders travel with whichever courier is fastest at the time of dispatch — typically Australia Post, but we use other carriers when they'll get your parcel to you sooner. Estimated transit times once your parcel leaves the warehouse:
- Queensland and northern NSW: 2–5 business days
- Greater NSW, Victoria, ACT: 3–7 business days
- South Australia, Tasmania: 4–8 business days
- Western Australia, Northern Territory: 5–12 business days
- Rural and remote areas: please allow extra time
If you need a guaranteed Australia Post service (Express Post, signature on delivery, etc.), choose an Australia Post option at checkout for an additional cost.
Tracking details are emailed the moment your order leaves the warehouse.
Click & collect
Pick your order up free from our warehouse at 75 Parramatta Road, Underwood QLD 4119, Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm. Select Click & collect at checkout — we'll email you the moment your order is ready.
International shipping
We currently ship within Australia only.
Missing or damaged parcels
If your parcel hasn't arrived within the timeframe above, or has arrived damaged, please get in touch within 14 days of dispatch and we'll sort it: orders@inhousebookstore.com.au or 07 3208 7576. We'll trace, replace, or refund — whichever puts the book in your hands fastest.
