From being raised by a single mother of four, arriving a year prior from the tropical third world country of El Salvador, life wasn’t always the easiest. My mother did the best she could to raise us, however, life will and can have its twists and turns. This book touches on my journey from addiction to recovery, living abroad in Mexico, having a child at a young age, and so much more. From darkness and despair to battling each day as it comes, I pushed through all the barriers that could have killed me. From someone who could never finish anything or do anything productive with their life, here I am now an author. My hope is to inspire those who find themselves in similar situations.

A heartbreaking yet brave and inspirational story about one woman’s journey from addiction to self love and learning how to heal and live a fuller and happier life! I devoured this book in a few days and am always in awe of the battles that some people are able to overcome! I take my hat of to this author for being so real and authentic. The world needs more of that. 👏
Went to school with Deylan and reading a summary of her life gave me some perspective and empathy toward her.
