This book has been a long time coming ... Peter and I started writing ditties and singing songs during the long drive home (1600 kilometres) from the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital, where our new baby girl was born. We lived on a sheep property, 72 kilometres southwest from our town, Winton. Imogen Winifred Knowles was born in 1988. She was the youngest in the family of five. She had four half-siblings. Imogen was on her own most of the time, she played in the dirt with the dogs, horses, roos, chickens, turkeys and lambs.
