With the 150 year anniversary of the founding of Beaudesert in 2024, we thought it appropriate that we, the members of Beaudesert Genealogy, should compile a local history book to celebrate the occasion.
"Everyone connected to Beaudesert is a part of Beaudesert’s history. Day-by-day, for over 54,000 days, history has been made. The first families to reside in Beaudesert – many of which have descendants who still reside in the area today, 150 years later - likely did not consider themselves as history makers. The stories that flow through these pages show us that working for a better life, new opportunities and advancement of work, education, sporting, agricultural and industrial endeavours – for each family, and for the district as a whole – have been the thread of Beaudesert for 150 years. Those first families, and all who have followed them, have indeed made history. They have made the Beaudesert story."
