Book One: From Dusk
Eighteen year old Lexi O’Connor is about to leave behind all she knows; her career-soldier father and the home she shares with her Aunt Claire, to travel to Scotland and discover her family’s heritage.
While exploring the historical city of Edinburgh, Lexi is attacked. Extremely shaken by the experience she flees; finding sanctuary in the small country town of Dunkeld, where she takes solitude in the local cathedral and meets the endearing Jack, who introduces Lexi to the local priest.
Upon meeting Lexi, Father Michael believes that she is part of an old church prophecy and informs her of the part he believes she plays in it. Lexi is bewildered by what she has been told and is unsure of what to believe.
Does she stay and fulfil her part in the prophecy or does she run away from her destiny?

In To Dawn:
The Vampire Hunter Prophecy Book 2, we find a more mature Lexi, comfortable with her destiny as a Vampire Hunter, but having to face the fact that her boyfriend Jack has been leading a double life.
After tracing her in Edinburgh, Jack brings Lexie home, hoping to rebuild trust in their relationship. Little did Jack or Lexi realise what far-reaching consequences an act of mercy would have on their future together. What would be waiting for them when they got back to Dunkeld?
M.G. Ryan's novel effortlessly draws us into the world of the supernatural, with her seamless style of writing keeping the story moving along nicely. Through her steady character development (especially of Corey and Lexie), I felt a growing investment in this novel. The crescendo for me was the final confrontation between Pandora and Lexie.
I thoroughly enjoyed M.G. Ryan's 'To Dawn' and recommend it to lovers of the supernatural.
