While George Hurley inherited the Hurley mathematics gene, he also researched poetry, its interpretation and inspiration. He read the works of English poets and was captivated by their chosen poetic words, phrases and sonnets. George, in his fifth decade, collated his memories of generations past and thoughts for the future and he was incredibly proud to be born and bred in Queensland. I am so thankful to be George’s second child, first daughter, and hope you enjoy his work. Thérèse Adolfsen (née Hurley)
