Wilga Rose was born in Sydney and educated at Sydney Girls’ High School and Sydney University, where she trained as an English/History teacher. She has been writing poetry since her teens and been published widely in Australian and overseas literary magazines, inlcuding ‘Southerly’, ‘Quadrant’ and ‘Meanjin’ and has had a book of poems published ‘Rituals of Light’ by Five Islands Press (Univeristy of Wollongong). Her work had been anthologised in ‘Up From Below’ and has been broadcast on ABC’s ‘A First Hearing’. She lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and is married with four children
