Emergency! Bushfires are devastating the North East of Tasmania, and Australia is once again on the brink of a national bushfire emergency.

People run for their lives as the bushfires ravage homes, farms, and businesses. Firefighters bravely battle the flames, and ambulance and health care workers attend to those caught in the chaos.

The Tasmanian Government send out a call for help to the Tactical Action Squad – an elite team of teenagers dedicated to protecting the people, land, and environment within Tasmania.

T.A.S. members – Jimmy, Froggy, Kempton and Louie – jump into action to save the region from becoming the next major Australian tragedy.

The Right Tact

Tim provides a punchy fast past childrens story along the lines of a Power Rangers meets Erwin Family deploy.
As a Tasmanian I can appreciate the engagment with locations, history, flora and fauna.
The characters are very commercialable and the entire project seems focused on a TV market.
The title and plot work well for the age group although I think some of the language and word choices (up to 14yrs) will be lost on the age group that fits with the word count and story complexity (I gave the book to my 8 year old granddaughter to read as well - so 8-12years for actual reading level).
