Excellent and entertaining book
Wonderful personal history including much of the rich but potentially lost history of theatre in Queensland
Arthur Frame writes engagingly about his many decades spent as a leading light of Queensland's theatrical scene. His book, richly illustrated, will be welcomed by the many people who were part of the story and by those doing research on the subject.
Bravo Arthur Frame! You have given us a very entertaining read, outlining some wonderful highlights of the Performing Arts industry, in Queensland. The Arts Juggler, has allowed me to remember many of the marvellous Performers, Directors, Producers and Production Crew who have left us and to also celebrate those who remain and continue to provide us with superb artistic output. Thanks for taking me back to a very happy time in my performing career. My time with Roadwork Secondary Schools Company taught me so much, and has left me with many happy memories.
A very excellent reflection and overview of the twists and turns in Arthur Frame's brilliant career in the theatrical and arts world - especially in (but not limited to) Queensland, Australia from the 1960's. Performer, writer, director, arts administrator, advocate and caring collector - in addition to describing his own life's journey so far, this aptly named work elucidates the efforts and multiple skills so essential to an artists survival. A heartfelt exploration of a life on and off the stage, The Arts Juggler will no doubt become an important educational resource as it chronicles the growth and development of a performing arts industry and faithfully credits the contributions of his many colleagues and collaborators. A wonderful read.
I'm enjoying reading the book I purchased. The InHouse Publishing staff was informative and professional after the sale was completed.
