Our World is Different: Autism, Depression and Anxiety
Healing Through Spirituality, The Journey of a Mother and Her Son
The story of a mother and her young son as they navigate a new world after EJ was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum at 3-and-a-half years old. Elesha is a passionate mother who has left no stone unturned to take any action necessary to assist her son.
The inspiration for sharing our story is to raise autism awareness and discuss mental health issues. These topics are often stigmatised, despite mental health being a widespread issue in our fast-paced world and impacting so many families. If our story helps one other family going through similar challenges, it has served its purpose.
Our World is Different highlights the technical and scientific sides of autism, and explores many conventional and alternative treatments.
This book is about developing skills to find the silver lining in any situation; having gratitude for all the positive aspects of our lives; and accepting that life involves suffering, which can either strengthen or weaken our spirit, depending on our perceptions and reactions.
This is a journey of hope, finding inner peace, and knowing that you are not alone in your struggle.
